About

Hi, I’m Michaela.
I am a poet, feeler, and quiet reclaimer of self.

The Art of Holding was born out of survival and lived experience.
After a serious injury, a painful breakup, a long season of mental health struggles,
and the ongoing journey of self-discovery, I needed somewhere to put all the things I’m carrying.
Somewhere to hold grief without rushing past it.
Somewhere to let softness exist without apology.
Somewhere, my voice could be heard.

This is that place.

These poems live in the in-between:
between heartbreak and healing,
between loneliness and strength,
between anger and grace.

I write about what hurts, what heals,
and what it means to keep showing up
when everything feels like too much.

I’ve learned that softness is not weakness,
and holding on to love, to self, to truth..
is its own kind of art.

This is mine.
Welcome in.
